ABOUT

Lucia’s mission is to advance guideline-based treatment, starting with AFib and the prevention of stroke.

A 2017 study of nearly 95,000 stroke victims with previously known Atrial Fibrillation found that 84% of patients were not on appropriate guideline-recommended preventative therapy.

That’s 79,000 strokes that could have been prevented.

Today, 8 out of 10 individuals living with Atrial Fibrillation may not be on guideline-recommended preventative therapy.

When patients are at the hospital ER, in front of clinicians, our health system is presented with a critical opportunity to get them on guideline treatment and on a path to successfully managing their AFib. We believe technology can play a pivotal role in allowing healthcare providers to safely and effectively manage AFib and prevent stroke.

By using technology to facilitate guideline-based care, we believe we can save lives, improve outcomes, and lower healthcare costs.
